Getting Started

When your child begins classes at Allegro Dance Academy

they may wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing they already own — such as leggings, fitted t-shirts, and clean sneakers or ballet shoes. This gives new students a smooth and affordable start.

However, as they continue in class, all students will be required to wear official Allegro-approved attire, which ensures safety, discipline, and a professional appearance across all classes and public performances.

This includes:

  • Additional Allegro-branded items for Hip Hop and Jazz classes as needed
  • Class-specific dance wear by style (see below)
  • The required Allegro Track Set (jacket and pants) for all performances

You will be notified when it’s time to purchase official items — and all students are expected to be in full Allegro attire as part of their ongoing enrollment.

Ballet Dress Code

  • Black leotard
  • Pink tights
  • Pink ballet shoes
  • Hair in a clean bun
    No jewelry or extra layers allowed.

Jazz Dress Code

  • Black top or tank
  • Black leggings
  • Black jazz shoes
  • Hair in a bun or ponytail
    Loose clothing or accessories are not allowed.

Hip Hop Dress Code

  • Black t-shirt or top
  • Black sweatpants or joggers
  • Clean sneakers (not worn outside)
  • Hair secured away from the face
    Students should be dressed to move freely and consistently with studio guidelines.
